Kuhn+Witte Automotive Group empowers two senior leaders with expanded decision-making roles
The Kuhn+Witte Automotive Group has strengthened its leadership team by granting two senior managers expanded decision-making powers. From January 1, 2026, Felix Tönnis and Stefan Waltemode will hold individual Prokura (power of attorney), a move officially recorded in the commercial register in mid-February. The company sees this as a strategic step in adapting to changes in the automotive retail sector.
Felix Tönnis, who joined the group in 2012, currently oversees new Audi sales as well as the Xpeng, Seat, and Cupra brands. With his new authority, he will take on a broader cross-brand role in shaping the sales division's strategy. His responsibilities will also extend to the corporate fleet business, giving him wider influence over multiple passenger car brands.
Stefan Waltemode, head of the service division since 2019, will now have greater decision-making power in his area. Having been with Kuhn+Witte since 2017, he emphasised that electrification, digitalisation, and innovative service solutions will be key priorities moving forward. The company's leadership, including Managing Directors Oliver Bohn and Jan Rommel, has welcomed the changes. Bohn described the move as an important signal in a rapidly evolving automotive market. Rommel added that developing internal leadership talent and distributing responsibility were central to the group's long-term success. The formal entry in the commercial register was notarised in February, confirming the appointments. Kuhn+Witte's leadership team already includes Kerstin Witte, Oliver Bohn, and Jan Rommel as authorised representatives, with Tönnis and Waltemode now joining them in expanded roles.
The new powers granted to Tönnis and Waltemode reflect Kuhn+Witte's focus on adapting to industry shifts. Their roles in sales and service will help steer the company's strategy in areas like electrification and digital services. The changes take full effect from January 1, 2026.
