Kuwait and India conduct joint naval drill to enhance maritime security
A joint naval exercise took place on Saturday, December 14, 2025, between the Kuwaiti Navy and the Indian Coast Guard. The drill aimed to boost maritime security and strengthen defense ties between the two nations. Both forces worked together to improve coordination and operational readiness in the region.
The exercise involved the Kuwaiti Navy boat Qaruh and the Indian Coast Guard ship Sarthak. Crews from both vessels carried out practical firefighting drills and tested their ability to conduct naval supply operations while underway. These activities were designed to sharpen skills in joint maritime operations.
The successful completion of the exercise marks another step in Kuwait’s efforts to secure regional waters. Both the Kuwaiti Navy and the Indian Coast Guard gained valuable experience in firefighting, supply operations, and joint maritime tactics. Future drills are expected to build on this cooperation to further strengthen security in the area.
