Kuwait Elected to COMCEC Bureau, Boosting Regional Economic Role
Kuwait's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Khalifa Al-Ajil, has expressed delight at the country's election to the Bureau of the Follow-up Committee of the Standing Ministerial Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation (COMCEC) for the next three years. This appointment reflects Kuwait's active engagement in diplomatic and economic affairs among Islamic nations.
Kuwait's Vision 2035 aims to diversify its united economy, reduce oil reliance, and strengthen its global economic standing. The country aspires to become a regional and international hub for finance and trade by empowering the private sector and modernizing infrastructure. COMCEC, in its 41st Session, adopted the theme 'Improving Export Strategies in the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation'. He thanked the State of Qatar for its effective leadership during its previous term as the head of COMCEC.
