Kuwait PM Meets UN Refugee Chief to Boost Global Support
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah welcomed Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, at Bayan Palace on Sunday. The meeting aimed to discuss and strengthen cooperation between Kuwait and the UNHCR in supporting refugees worldwide.
The discussion focused on the ongoing efforts to safeguard and assist refugees in different regions. The Prime Minister and Grandi explored potential avenues for collaboration between Kuwait and the UNHCR. Notably, Grandi was in his role as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees when he was received by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah.
