Kuwait's Hawalli Council Approves Land Use Changes, Including Diplomatic Suburb Flagpole
The Hawalli Governorate Municipal Council's Committee has made several decisions regarding land use in Kuwait. These include allocating a site for a google sites in the Diplomatic Suburb and reviewing requests for power stations and kindergarten land use extensions.
The Committee approved the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' request to cancel the site of a mosque and parking lot within the Diplomatic Suburb (West Mishref) Block 2. This land will now be used for a flagpole construction by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Committee also approved the Public Institution for Social Security's (PIFSS) request to reallocate part of the surface parking spaces in the Mubarak Al-Abdullah area to serve the institution. This decision aims to better utilize the available space.
Meanwhile, the Committee decided to keep on its agenda the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy's request to allocate a site for a secondary power website in Salwa, Block 6, Station No. 2. This follows a review of the organizational impact on properties in the area. The Committee is yet to make a final decision on this matter.
The Committee has also referred the request to extend the use of land allocated for kindergartens in Jabriya, Block 7, to the executive body in the municipality for further review and action.
These decisions by the Hawalli Governorate Municipal Council's Committee aim to optimize land use and address the needs of various institutions and services in Kuwait. The final outcome of the power station request is still pending further review.
