Kuwait’s New Terminal 2 Nears Completion as PM Inspects Progress
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah recently inspected the progress of the Kuwait International Airport Terminal 2 (T2) project during a Cabinet meeting held at the new terminal building. The Prime Minister was briefed on the project's status by Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan and Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Directorate-General of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).
The T2 project, a major national development initiative, consists of three key components: a new passenger terminal, service buildings and access roads, and aircraft aprons and taxiways. Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works, is overseeing the project's implementation and coordination of the three main packages. The DGCA is working with relevant authorities to ensure efficient operational readiness procedures for the new terminal.
His Highness the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the T2 project for Kuwait's air transport sector. He called for continued cooperation among government entities to accelerate the project's progress according to the scheduled timeline. Upon completion, the T2 project is expected to serve as a modern aviation hub meeting international standards, enhancing passenger experience, and strengthening Kuwait's regional transport and logistics gateway position.
