Labour leader Abul Basher remembered 15 years after his death

Labour leader Abul Basher was honoured on the 15th anniversary of his death. Politicians and labour rights bodies gathered to remember his dedication to workers' causes. His unfinished work was highlighted, with calls for progress.

Basher, a founder of Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (SKOP) during HM Ershad's rule, was commemorated at a meeting organised by the Workers Party of Bangladesh. Acting president Mahmudul Hasan Manik urged labour rights bodies to complete Basher's unfinished work.

Abul Hossain, a labour leader, called on the interim government to take steps advancing workers' rights. Basher's commitment to establishing workers' rights was remembered, with the Bangladesh Awami League and workers' organisations coordinating his funeral ceremony.

Abul Basher's legacy continues to inspire labour rights activists. His dedication to workers' causes was honoured, with calls for his unfinished work to be completed. The interim government was urged to take steps advancing workers' rights.
