Labour leader Abul Basher remembered 15 years after his death

Basher, a founder of Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (SKOP) during HM Ershad's rule, was commemorated at a meeting organised by the Workers Party of Bangladesh. Acting president Mahmudul Hasan Manik urged labour rights bodies to complete Basher's unfinished work.
Abul Hossain, a labour leader, called on the interim government to take steps advancing workers' rights. Basher's commitment to establishing workers' rights was remembered, with the Bangladesh Awami League and workers' organisations coordinating his funeral ceremony.
