Lahn-Dill district hit by theft, vandalism, and a violent attack in 48 hours

Local police are investigating a series of incidents in the Lahn-Dill district. Three bicycles were found abandoned, suspected to be stolen. Vandals caused damage to property, and a young resident was injured in an attack on Wednesday evening. Election posters were also targeted between Wednesday and Thursday.

Three bicycles, including a blue men's Peugeot, a black-green-pink women's Winora, and an aluminum women's Agattu, were discovered in the Langgöns field area on Wednesday. Police suspect a connection to the Butzbach area and are investigating.

In Dortelweil, unknown persons defaced a house wall and a Deutsche Post mailbox with graffiti between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The estimated damage is 1,500 EUR.

A gray Golf estate's rear window was smashed in Nieder-Weisel on Thursday afternoon. No witnesses or suspects have been identified.

A 19-year-old was injured by pepper spray on the Nidda bike path in Bad Vilbel on Wednesday evening. The suspect, described as tall with a goatee and wearing a gray Telekom jacket and black beanie, remains at large.

In Assenheim, unknown persons removed and damaged election posters for the 'AfD' party between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Police urge anyone with information about these incidents to come forward. The bicycles, if proven stolen, and the damaged property highlight the need for increased vigilance in the area. The attack on the 19-year-old is being treated seriously, and police are pursuing all leads.
