Landshut Launches 'Family Benefits Network' to Simplify Access to Services
Landshut has launched the 'Family Benefits Network' to streamline access to family support services. The network, established at the start of the year, comprises key local departments and agencies. The network includes the Social Welfare Department, the Bavaria South Family Benefits Office, the Landshut City Job Center, and the Bavarian Center for Family and Social Affairs (ZBFS) – Lower Bavaria Region. The goal is to guide families through the complex system of benefits and ensure better coordination among participating agencies. An overview of the most important financial benefits for families has been published on the city’s website at www.ourwebsite/familybenefits. The network plans to strengthen collaboration among its members to enhance services and advance broader family policy goals, such as improving work-life balance. Regular coordination meetings will be held, and the network intends to maintain a visible presence at public events. The 'Family Benefits Network' aims to simplify access to family support services in Landshut. With Germany's family and marriage-related benefits totalling around €200 billion annually, this initiative seeks to help families navigate the complex system of over 150 different benefits managed by various providers.
