Langen's New Eco-Friendly Commercial Hub Wins Award Before Groundbreaking
A new commercial complex is set to rise in Langen after GreenPlaces Germany acquired a 50,000-square-foot plot in the Neurott industrial park. The development at 2 Robert-Bosch-Straße will feature 22 modular units, each averaging around 1,550 square feet, and has already won a sustainability award before construction even begins. The site was previously home to the demolished headquarters of Ross Europa. LIG Bau GmbH, a local company, sold the land, which will be handed over in a fully levelled state. GreenPlaces plans to build the units using serial timber-frame construction, fitting them with photovoltaic panels and green roofs to boost sustainability.
The project has already gained recognition, winning the *Immobilienmanager Award 2026* in the *Sustainability & Social Responsibility* category. Alongside the main units, smaller *Greenboxes*—lockable storage spaces of roughly 215 square feet—will also be available. Each of the 22 commercial units can be leased or bought individually. Construction is set to start in late summer 2026, with completion expected a year later. This development marks GreenPlaces' sixth site in Germany, but the company has bigger plans. By 2030, it aims to expand to around 80 locations, mostly within the country.
The new complex will add flexible commercial space to Langen's industrial park. With its eco-friendly design and modular layout, the project aligns with GreenPlaces' long-term growth strategy. Work on the site is scheduled to finish by late 2027.
