Langern Fire Brigade Marks 105 Years with Festivities and Honors
The Langern Fire Brigade celebrated its 105th anniversary with a grand festival over two days, attracting hundreds of visitors under sunny skies. The event culminated in a lively party led by DJ Andreas Büscher.
The festival kicked off with a Friday evening barbecue, bringing the village together. On Saturday, an internal skills challenge saw Langern emerge victorious, claiming the traveling trophy. The brigade's head, Marc Mennes, thanked everyone for their support and praised the positive feedback.
Mayor Lothar Christ joined the celebrations. He congratulated the Langern brigade and commended the high standards of Werne's fire department. In recognition of his service, Christ received the German Fire Brigade Association’s Medal of Honor.
