The manufacturing industry is gearing up for a significant event, as the Subcon Show returns to the NEC, Birmingham, from 7-8 June 2023. Over 340 years of manufacturing knowledge, brought together by partners The Engineer, Manufacturing Management, and Machinery, will create an unparalleled platform for innovation and excellence in the sector.

With over 200 exhibitors set to attend, the Subcon Show will showcase thousands of products, offering visitors a comprehensive view of the latest advancements in manufacturing. Among the exhibitors will be a variety of subcontract manufacturers from sectors such as aerospace, automotive, defence & security, and medical.

One of the highlights of the event will be the two dedicated conference streams, spanning 20+ hours of free sessions. These sessions will feature leading voices in the industry, sharing insights and knowledge that will undoubtedly prove invaluable to attendees.

Lockheed Martin is set to make a significant impact at the show, announcing plans to upgrade the Republic of Korea Air Force's F-16 Block 52 flight simulators to mirror the advanced capabilities of its modernised F-16 Viper (F-16V) aircraft. Meanwhile, Brookhouse Aerospace has invested over £500,000 in additional machinery, further extending its engineering capabilities as part of its growth and investment strategy. Elsewhere, cutting tool manufacturer Paul Horn will demonstrate live machining on four different machine tools at its stand A32 in hall 5 at the EMO exhibition in Hannover, taking place on 9th Sep 2025. This will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to witness the latest advancements in machining technology first-hand.

Dassault Systèmes has also announced that the NCC has adopted the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud and extended its use to other innovation centres within the UK High Value Manufacturing Catapult network.
