Larimer County Glows Green to Honor Veterans This November
Larimer County is set to honour local veterans this November 4-11, 2025, by joining the national initiative Operation Green Light. Both the Larimer County Administrative Services Building in Fort Collins and the Larimer County Loveland Campus will be illuminated with green lights, symbolising appreciation for veterans' service.
Operation Green Light is a nationwide campaign encouraging counties, communities, and individuals to show visible support for veterans by shining green lights. Larimer County's participation comes as the Board of Commissioners officially proclaimed November 4-11, 2025, as Operation Green Light for Veterans.
Community members and businesses are invited to join the initiative by changing one light to green. This simple act serves as a powerful symbol of gratitude for veterans' sacrifices. The county's Veterans Service Office, which offers guidance and support to veterans transitioning to civilian life, is spearheading the local effort.
Operation Green Light aims to honour and support veterans, with approximately 200,000 service members leaving the military each year. Larimer County's participation in this national initiative is a testament to its commitment to recognising and assisting local veterans during their transition to civilian life.
