Late-Night Brawl in Neukölln: Several Injured, Weapons Used
A late-night altercation in Neukölln's Karl-Marx-Straße bar left several men injured and facing charges. Police intervened, witnessing a chaotic scene involving punches, kicks, and bladed weapons. The argument began between two men, escalating to include multiple individuals and spilling onto the sidewalk. Both a 35-year-old man and a 23-year-old were among those injured and taken into custody. The 23-year-old, found to be residing in Germany illegally, was detained for identification processing and faces further investigation into his unauthorized stay. Police observed the use of weapons during the fight, with a folding knife discarded by the 23-year-old upon his arrest. Four men, including the 23-year-old, fled the scene when police arrived. The unknown individuals who supported the 35-year-old and then fled towards the Neukölln S- and U-Bahn station remain unidentified. All three men initially arrested have been released but still face charges of aggravated assault. The case has been transferred to a specialized unit at Police Directorate 5 for further investigation into the incident and the 23-year-old's immigration status.
