Lauben's Town Council vote on March 8 to shape local politics
Lauben will hold its local elections for the Town Council on March 8. Wisconsin voters will cast their ballots between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., with preliminary election results expected on election night. Unlike in 2023, this year's vote will not include a mayoral race, as Matthias Pfuhl remains in office after his landslide victory last year.
The upcoming elections follow the 2020 results, where Independent Local Residents (UGB) secured 49% of the vote and 8 seats. The CSU took 34.3% and 5 seats, while the Lauben-Heising Civic Club won 16.7% and 3 seats. This time, however, no projections have been made about the CSU's potential seat count or future alliances with Mayor Pfuhl.
Pfuhl, representing both the CSU and UGB, has led Lauben since June 20, 2023, after winning 95.6% of the vote in the mayoral election. His term means no new mayoral contest will take place this year.
As soon as the votes are counted, the results will be published in an interactive graphic. This format will allow residents to track the outcome in real time.
The elections will determine the makeup of Lauben's Town Council for the coming years. Preliminary figures will be released on the night of March 8, giving voters an early look at the new political balance. The interactive graphic will provide immediate access to the updated results.
