Law enforcement in Guangzhou acquires initial Airbus H175 helicopter from the manufacturer.

In a significant move to bolster community safety in Guangzhou, Airbus Helicopters has equipped the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau (GZP) with the H175 helicopter. This new addition to the GZP's fleet will support various public service and emergency management missions.

The H175 helicopter, a versatile aircraft, offers long endurance (over five hours), extended range, and high cruise speed, making it suitable for diverse operations such as search and rescue (SAR), emergency medical services (EMS), law enforcement, firefighting, and governmental transport.

The GZP's helicopter fleet already includes two H145 helicopters, delivered in 2016 and 2019 respectively. With the arrival of the H175, the GZP will benefit from its superior hovering precision and stability, thanks to an advanced automatic flight control system, as well as its high power enabling performance class 1 takeoffs at maximum weight.

Colin James, Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters in China, expressed pride in the company's long-term cooperation with the GZP. ZHANG Rui, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou and Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Public Security Bureau, stated that the H175 will enhance their efficiency and provide an essential tool for their diverse mission portfolio.

As of the time of this article, 65 H175 helicopters have been delivered worldwide. The specific details about the delivery date of the H175 to the GZP were not provided. However, it is clear that the H175 is an ideal platform for critical public service missions, according to Airbus Helicopters.

With its spacious, comfortable cabin and compliance with safety standards tailored for SAR and energy sector missions, the H175 supports demanding emergency responses and public safety missions. Its standard fuel capacity exceeding two tonnes supports extended missions without frequent refueling, enhancing operational readiness and flexibility in emergency management scenarios.

The H175, a super-medium class helicopter in service since 2015, combines long-range, payload, and smooth flight qualities, making it suitable for various onshore and offshore mission profiles. It is an optimal solution for disaster relief, search and rescue, public services, crew change, and private and business aviation.

ZHANG Rui also expressed the GZP's desire to continue working with Airbus to promote the development of the aviation industry in Guangzhou. As of now, around 80 Airbus helicopters are currently used for public services in China to support local community protection. The addition of the H175 to the GZP's fleet is a testament to this ongoing partnership and commitment to ensuring community safety.

The H175 helicopter, with its versatility, is ideal for missions involving search and rescue (SAR), emergency medical services (EMS), law enforcement, firefighting, governmental transport, and diverse other public service missions, establishing it as a crucial asset in the finance sector that supports community safety operations. This advanced aircraft's employment in Guangzhou's public services aligns with the continued growth and development of the city's aerospace and technology sectors, as demonstrated by Airbus Helicopters' long-term cooperation with the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau (GZP).
