Leipzig’s Haunting History Tour Explores Nazi Past and Jewish Persecution
A collaborative city tour, organized by the Muslimisches Bildungswerk für Demokratie e.V. and Erich-Zeigner-Haus e.V., is set to explore Leipzig's local history of National Socialism and the persecution of Jews. The tour, recommended for participants aged 14 and above, is open to school classes from the 8th grade and above.
The tour, lasting approximately two hours, will commence at the Synagogendenkmal in the Gottschedstraße. It will cover various stations in the city center, delving into the city's past and the lessons that can be drawn from it. Participants will reflect on how to learn from history and apply those lessons to the present day. The tour is scheduled for Saturday, 18.10., from 13-15 Uhr.
Registration for the tour is mandatory and must be completed via the event link by 13.10. (18:00).
