Geibert confirmed as state chairman of the Young Union - Lennart Geibert re-elected as Young Union leader in Thuringia with 80% support
Lennart Geibert has been re-elected as chair of the Young Union (JU) in Thuringia. The 28-year-old lawyer secured a strong majority, winning 80 percent of delegate votes at the state conference. His leadership comes as the organization counts around 1,000 members across the region. The election took place during the JU state conference in Sondershausen, where 79 delegates gathered. Geibert, who has led the group for the past two years, also serves as a member of Thuringia’s state parliament after winning a seat in last year’s elections. With his re-election, Geibert continues to guide the Young Union in Thuringia for another term. The newly elected deputies will assist in managing the group’s activities and strategy. The conference also highlighted the organization’s ongoing engagement with its nearly 1,000 members.
