Liefergrün's all-electric fleet grows with 25 new Mercedes-Benz eVito vans
Berlin-based delivery startup Liefergrün has expanded its electric fleet with 25 battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eVito panel vans. The company, which specialises in emissions-free last-mile deliveries, now relies entirely on electric cargo bikes and fully electric vans for its operations. The move is part of a broader push to make package delivery more sustainable across Germany. The partnership with Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility marks a significant step for Liefergrün. The rental agreement includes 25 updated eVito vans, with plans to add 40 more electric vehicles for the company and its partners. Stefan Sonntag, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility, expressed satisfaction that Liefergrün is using their vans to support zero-emission deliveries.
The eVito panel van received a major upgrade in December, featuring an improved electric drivetrain and a new 60 kWh battery. This boosts its range to between 242 and 314 kilometres (WLTP) and enables faster DC charging. The flexible rental model allows businesses like Liefergrün to trial electric mobility without long-term commitments. Niklas Tauch, CEO and co-founder of Liefergrün, described the collaboration as a key milestone. The company aims to transform package delivery by reducing emissions and expanding its sustainable logistics network. Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility, meanwhile, operates one of the largest brand-name electric fleets in the commercial van sector.
Liefergrün's fleet now includes 25 electric eVito vans, with 40 more planned for its operations and partners. The updated vans offer longer ranges and faster charging, supporting the company's goal of greener deliveries. This partnership strengthens both firms' efforts to reduce the environmental impact of last-mile logistics.
