Lions Clubs Celebrate Roman Heritage on Naab River Cruise

The Lions Club Oberpfälzer Jura recently hosted a regular meeting with their partner club from Enns/St. Valentin in Upper Austria. The event, held under the motto 'Ave castra regina', paid homage to the Roman history of both regions. A highlight of the meeting was a trip on the 'navis lusoria' along the Naab river.

The meeting was presided over by Hans Spangler, the president of the Lions Club Oberpfälzer Jura. The gathering provided an opportunity for the two clubs to strengthen their bond and exchange ideas. One of the key attractions was a visit to the Roman remains in Regensburg, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the region.

The 'navis lusoria', a traditional boat, took the participants on a scenic journey along the Naab. This unique experience allowed them to appreciate the natural beauty of the area while fostering camaraderie.

The meeting between the Lions Club Oberpfälzer Jura and their partner club from Enns/St. Valentin was a successful event that celebrated the shared Roman heritage of the two regions.
