Little Britain Twp. to Review Greenhouse and Livestock Variance Requests on Nov. 19

The Little Britain Twp. Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, 11/19/25 at 7PM. Two variance requests are on the agenda. Joseph L. Esh seeks approval for a 32X150' greenhouse, with plans for two more in phases. Troy and Cassandra Towner request permission to keep 4 horses and 24 chickens at their property at 80 Fulton View Rd., Quarryville, PA.

Joseph L. Esh has applied for a Special Exception and a Variance for his greenhouse project. The first greenhouse is 32X150' in size. Esh plans to construct two more in phases over the next few years. He has also requested a 3-month extension for the final stormwater plan date to pull permits for each greenhouse and 7 years to complete the other two.

Troy and Cassandra Towner have submitted a Variance request to keep livestock on their property. They wish to keep 4 horses and 24 chickens. The couple is also seeking relief from sections 440.2 and 440.5 of the Zoning Ordinance.

The public hearing will take place at the Twp. Municipal Bldg. at 323 Green Lane, Quarryville, PA. The hearing aims to discuss and potentially approve these variance requests. The validity duration of Esh's application for the additional two greenhouses remains unclear.
