LNBD Director Search Continues After Minister's Rejection of Finalists
The Local & National Business Development (LNBD) has launched an open competition for the post of Director. Nine candidates applied, aiming to fill the vacancy left since November 2019.
The process involved three rounds of candidate selection. Two finalists emerged, scoring high enough for the evaluation panel to recommend them for appointment. However, the Minister for Smart Administration and Regional Development declined to appoint either of these candidates.
Artis Vītiņš has been acting as Director since then, steering the LNBD through this transition period.
The search for a permanent Director continues. The LNBD awaits the Minister's decision on the next steps, following the conclusion of the competitive process.
