Local Heroes Honored for Exceptional Service in Bavarian Region

Several individuals from the region have been recognized for their exceptional contributions and service. Awards were presented by the Bavarian State Government and local communities, highlighting the honorees' dedication and impact.

Christine Stock from Mainaschaff was awarded the Federal Merit Cross for her years of selfless care for her husband. Meanwhile, Otto Hofmann from Waldaschaff, Thomas Schuler from Großostheim, and Jutta Steigerwald from Wiesen received the Communal Certificate of Appreciation for their communal political engagement.

Anneliese Euler from Glattbach and Albin Schäfer from Sommerkahl were awarded the Communal Medal of Honor in bronze for their decades of service in communal politics. Franz Thoma from Alzenau was presented with the Bavarian Minister-President's Medal of Honor for his outstanding volunteer work in the social and cultural sectors.

Cornelia Langerspacher-Eller from Bessenbach and Gisela Eichfelder from Hanau were honored with the White Angel Award for their personal and exemplary service in the health and care sector. Christian Fleps from Goldbach and Manuel Schlett from Westerngrund were awarded the Christophorus Medal for their outstanding service in saving lives.

On Friday, October 10, 2025, Juliane Böttger from Erlangen, Granit Musliu, and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge were honored by the Bavarian State Government or the Bavarian Interior Minister. Rummenigge received the Personal Prize of the Minister-President at the Bavarian Sports Prize 2025.
