Loco Chicken's New Food Truck Brings Halal Fried Chicken to Mülheim-Kärlich
Loco Chicken Opens Street Food Truck in Mülheim-Kärlich
Residents in the region who order food via delivery apps may already be familiar with the name Loco Chicken. Now, the fast-food brand founded by rapper Luciano has made its physical debut in Mülheim-Kärlich: A street food truck has opened in the industrial park at Industriestraße 40. According to Merkurist, fried chicken dishes have been on offer there for several days.
This new location differs from the brand's approach in Neuwied, where Loco Chicken operates solely as a delivery-only kitchen at Andernacher Straße 59, accessible through services like Lieferando.
Rise to Fame Through Ghost Kitchens
The brand gained nationwide recognition primarily through the ghost kitchen model, where meals are prepared in partner restaurants exclusively for delivery, without a traditional dine-in space. Beyond this, Loco Chicken also runs its own brick-and-mortar locations in cities like Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Cologne.
In Mülheim-Kärlich, however, the chain is taking a fresh approach for the region. Instead of relying on a low-profile delivery kitchen, it has launched a visible street food truck complete with a counter, seating, and direct customer interaction.
The Rapper Behind the Brand
The face and namesake of Loco Chicken is rapper Luciano—real name Patrick Großmann. Born in 1994, he is one of Germany's most prominent drill rap artists and was the country's most-streamed musician on Spotify in 2022.
The company's website describes its restaurant brand as rapidly expanding across Europe, highlighting its halal-certified chicken among other selling points. According to its own figures, Loco Chicken now operates around 750 locations.
