Lörrach's Foster Families Bond at Annual Autumn Festival
The Lörrach district's Foster and Adoptive Children’s Service (PAD) recently held its annual autumn festival, bringing together around 100 foster parents and children. Timo Randt, deputy head of the PAD team, praised the invaluable contribution of foster families, while the district continues to seek more families to support local children in need.
The festival, held at Kandern’s Rüttehof farm, offered a chance for foster families to network, share experiences, and bond. Foster parents and older youth exchanged stories and advice, fostering a sense of community. Children enjoyed activities like face painting, a dress-up station, visits with goats, and exploring a corn maze.
The PAD team, led by Timo Randt, ensures prospective families are thoroughly prepared for welcoming a foster child. They provide ongoing support throughout the entire fostering process, demonstrating their commitment to both families and children.
The Lörrach district's annual PAD autumn festival brought foster families together for a day of fun and connection. Timo Randt highlighted the invaluable role of foster families, and the district continues to encourage more families to consider fostering, with the PAD team providing comprehensive support every step of the way.
