Lower Bavaria’s bold push to become Europe’s next **maker region** takes shape

Dr. Reinhard Saller, the new CEO of the Lower Bavaria Forum e.V., is actively networking with local decision-makers. He recently visited the Landshut district authority. Saller aims to use the forum to boost competitiveness and economic development.
The Landshut district has already demonstrated its maker status with the establishment of a green hydrogen electrolyzer in Pfeffenhausen. Now, the district is planning the Water Hydrogen Transfer and Application Center (WTAZ) in Pfeffenhausen. The project, initiated by the district, is currently in the planning and approval phase. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025, with a targeted startup in 2026.
Economic Affairs Representative Ludwig Goetz provided an update on the WTAZ project. He highlighted its potential to further solidify the region's maker status.
