LRT3 Shah Alam Line launch delayed again over unresolved software flaws
The opening of the LRT3 Shah Alam Line has been delayed again due to ongoing software issues. Prasarana Malaysia Berhad Group president Amir Hamdan confirmed that instability in the system means the line will not launch in 2025. A new date for its official start remains uncertain as testing continues.
The project team has made progress in recent months, fixing 33 software and system glitches over the past two and a half months. Despite this, the signalling and software systems still fail to meet the required stability levels for a safe launch.
Without a confirmed launch date, the LRT3 Shah Alam Line remains in the testing phase. The project team continues to address software instability, though no timeline for resolution has been given. Further updates are expected early next year.
