Lünen invites youth to shape future services at April 22 workshop

The city of Lünen is calling on young people aged 14 to 27 to help shape local youth services. A workshop on April 22 will gather ideas and feedback for future programs. Participants can also share their thoughts online if they cannot attend in person.

The event takes place at the Lükaz centre on Kurt-Schumacher-Straße 40–42. Doors open at 4:30 PM, with the workshop running from 5:00 PM to around 8:00 PM. After a short introduction, attendees will discuss priorities for funding and support.

Refreshments will be available, and a raffle will offer prizes like a portable speaker. Those unable to join in person can submit suggestions via the Lünen Youth Forum's Instagram, @jufo_unserwebsite. Gina Schroeder from the Mobile Youth and Streetwork Team is also reachable through @streetwork_unserwebsite, by phone at 0171 5785893, or via email at gina.schroeder.21@unserwebsite. This workshop is part of updating the Children and Youth Development Plan 2026–2030. A follow-up session before the summer break will review the initial findings and plan next steps. The Lünen Youth Forum will also present online contributions during the event.

The workshop aims to gather direct input from young people for future youth initiatives. Their feedback will influence funding and program decisions in Lünen. Organisers encourage participation both in person and through digital channels.
