Lünen Opens Public Consultation on Land Use and Zoning Plan Changes
Lünen has launched early public participation for changes to its land use and zoning plans. The latest edition of the Lünen Municipal Gazette, released on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, includes notices for two key amendments. Residents now have the chance to review and comment on the proposed adjustments before formal decisions are made.
The new issue of the Lünen Municipal Gazette (No. 09/2026) outlines plans for the 30th and 31st amendments to the Lünen Land Use Plan. These involve areas known as Am Lüner Brunnen Nord and Im Heidbruch Nord. Alongside these, Zoning Plan No. 248 (Am Lüner Brunnen Nord) and Zoning Plan No. 249 (Im Heidbruch Nord) have also been published for public input.
Under German building law, the early participation phase usually runs for one month after the objection deadlines are announced. Copies of the gazette are available for free at the City Hall information desk (Willy-Brandt-Platz 1) and online. This ensures all residents can access the details and submit feedback if needed. The city is encouraging local involvement in shaping these development plans. Both the land use and zoning adjustments will move forward after this consultation period ends.
The public now has until the deadline to review and respond to the proposed changes. Feedback collected during this phase will influence the final versions of the land use and zoning plans. Further updates will be shared through official city channels once the process concludes.
