Lünen’s new wastewater rules and fee changes take effect in 2025

The latest issue of the Lünen Municipal Gazette (No. 47/2025) was released on December 11, 2025. Inside, residents will find key updates on local regulations, including changes to wastewater and waterway maintenance fees. The publication is available both in print and online at no cost.

One of the main announcements covers the Fourth Amendment to the Statute of Lünen Wastewater Disposal Municipal Utility (SAL), which introduces new rules for the disposal of septic sludge. Alongside this, the Fifth Amendment to the Fee Schedule of SAL adjusts property drainage fees for local properties.

The new amendments will affect how septic sludge is handled, how drainage fees are calculated, and how waterway maintenance costs are distributed. Residents and businesses in Lünen can review the full details in the latest gazette issue, ensuring they stay informed about the updated regulations.
