Lynk & Co shifts from subscriptions to dealerships for European growth
Lynk & Co is adjusting its approach in Europe following the underperformance of its subscription-based sales model. The brand, which initially focused on online direct sales and flexible memberships, is now embracing traditional dealership networks to drive growth. This shift occurs as the company broadens its presence across key markets, including Germany, where it recently inaugurated its first standalone showroom.
The company's early strategy centered on car subscriptions and digital sales, but low uptake rates led it to adopt a more conventional retail model. In 2024, Lynk & Co registered just 68 new vehicles in Germany, though sales surged past 700 units in 2025. To fortify its position, the brand has allied with local dealers, establishing around two dozen showrooms and over 80 service points in Germany alone.
The first dedicated Lynk & Co showroom opened in Weiterstadt in 2025, with additional locations planned to enhance customer access and brand visibility. Beyond Germany, the company is expanding across Europe, with roughly 150 outlets currently—including five in Austria and six in Switzerland. By the end of 2026, the network is projected to grow to about 200 dealerships, indicating significant growth from previous years.
Lynk & Co's lineup now comprises three models: the compact 01 SUV, the fully electric 02, and the flagship 08 midsize SUV. The 01, a plug-in hybrid, offers up to 75 kilometres of electric range and starts at around €43,000. The 02, an all-electric compact SUV, delivers a range of up to 435 kilometres and is priced from €36,000. Meanwhile, the 08 combines a plug-in hybrid powertrain with over 500 hp and roughly 200 kilometres of electric range, starting at about €56,000.
The move to traditional dealerships signals Lynk & Co's endeavor to boost sales and market reach. With a burgeoning network of showrooms and service centers, the brand aspires to make its vehicles more accessible to European buyers. The expanded lineup, featuring hybrid and fully electric options, positions the company to compete more directly in the SUV segment.
