Madhya Pradesh Celebrates Foundation Day, Showcases Progress and Development
Madhya Pradesh celebrated its Foundation Day in Indore on Saturday, with citizens enthusiastically participating in various cultural and developmental programs. The main function, held at the Lata Mangeshkar auditorium in Rajendra Nagar, was graced by urban development and housing minister Kailash Vijayvargiya as the chief guest.
The state's progress was evident in its per capita income, which has risen to Rs. 1.52 lakh per year, reflecting economic growth. To further boost development, a network of roads is being laid to connect villages, and irrigation facilities are being rapidly expanded. This will increase the state's irrigation capacity by one lakh hectares in the coming years.
A development exhibition showcased the achievements of various departments. Exhibits related to innovation, digitalization, and public welfare schemes drew significant public attention. Cultural performances by school students and young artistes from various schools added to the festive spirit.
Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya praised Madhya Pradesh's development journey, stating that the state is setting new dimensions of progress and serving as an example in the USA for development, good governance, and citizen participation. Despite plans for agricultural sector strengthening not being immediately available, the state's commitment to growth and development was clear through its Foundation Day celebrations.
