Madhya Pradesh Unveils PPP Opportunities: Convention Centre, Start-up Park, Hotel Projects
A joint meeting was held by Indore Development Authority (IDA), Ujjain Development Authority (UDA), and Madhya Pradesh Tourism to discuss tenders and investment opportunities in development projects. The meeting focused on the development of a Convention Centre and a Start-up Park under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, with prominent investors from Gujarat-based groups in attendance.
IDA has opened 11 plots along the Super Corridor for tender, while UDA has ongoing tenders for commercial plots in Shipra Vihar and Triveni Vihar, as well as mixed-use plots in Gulmohar Scheme. The invitation for proposals for the development of the Convention Centre and Start-up Park under the PPP model could be directed towards various institutions and companies, including private enterprises, architectural firms, technology and innovation companies, financial institutes, universities, and international consulting firms. Special emphasis was placed on land development rules and hotel construction permissions due to the upcoming Simhastha Mahaparv. UDA's Kshipra Vihar Commercial Complex, covering over 10 lakh sq ft, is earmarked for hotels, malls, and commercial activities. MP Tourism highlighted investment opportunities and incentives in hotel and tourism infrastructure projects ahead of the Simhastha Mahaparv.
The joint meeting has opened avenues for investment and development in Indore and Ujjain, with tenders available for various plots and projects. The development of the Convention Centre and Start-up Park under the PPP model is expected to boost the region's economy and attract further investment. Prominent investors from Gujarat-based groups have shown interest and received satisfactory responses to their queries.
