Mahama Returns to Ghana After Beijing Women's Empowerment Summit
Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama returned home after attending the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women in Beijing, China. He was greeted by his current Vice President, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, at the Jubilee House.
Mahama's trip was significant as he joined President Xi Jinping and UN Women to renew the spirit of the Beijing Declaration and accelerate its implementation. During his absence, he received briefings from his Vice President about the state of the country.
Upon his return, Mahama was received at the Jubilee House by his Vice President. He was also greeted by his Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, and heads of security services. Mahama returned aboard a commercial Emirates Airlines flight.
Mahama's participation in the Beijing meeting reflects his commitment to women's empowerment and global cooperation. His return to Ghana signals a continuation of his leadership and engagement with the country's affairs.
