A peaceful protest against far-right extremism took place in Mainz on March 14, 2026. The event included a march and a rally, drawing hundreds of participants throughout the day.
The demonstration began at 11:30 AM with a march titled No Nazis in Parliament. Around 250 people joined the procession, which moved through Mainz's Neustadt district before reaching Bleichenviertel and ending in Kaiserpark. The route took just under two hours to complete.
After the march, a rally was held in Kaiserpark, in front of the Stadthaus. Titled *The State Government Should Support the Federal Constitutional Court's Review of All Far-Right Parties*, it attracted roughly 550 attendees at its peak. The event concluded without disruption at about 3:30 PM. Organisers reported no incidents during either the march or the rally. Both activities proceeded calmly from start to finish.
The protest wrapped up in the early afternoon with no reported disturbances. Around 550 people gathered at the rally's highest point, while the march earlier in the day saw about 250 participants. The events highlighted opposition to far-right politics in the region.
