Major editorial reshuffle strengthens real-time news and political coverage

A major reshuffle is underway at the news organisation’s editorial team. Three key appointments have been announced, each bringing fresh expertise to different areas of the operation. The changes aim to strengthen real-time reporting, political coverage, and video content strategy.

Anita Klingler, a long-serving member of the editorial team, will now bolster the Munich newsdesk. She joined the organisation in 2012, initially covering Austria and Switzerland. Over time, she took on roles as deputy chief of staff and later led the newsdesk team. Her experience will help enhance real-time news delivery in the coming months.

Fabian Busch is set to head the Berlin bureau, where he will expand political reporting from the capital. His career began at Mannheimer Morgen, followed by freelance work for various media outlets. Before this promotion, he served as a political correspondent for Web.de and GMX, bringing a strong background in political journalism to the role. Elena Stein will step into the position of Team Lead Video, overseeing the development of new video formats. A specialist in video strategy and social-first storytelling, she has advised brands and creators on platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Her work includes campaign planning, optimising short-form content, and using data-driven approaches to boost audience engagement through creator collaborations.

The appointments mark a strategic shift in the organisation’s editorial direction. Klingler’s leadership in Munich will sharpen real-time news output, while Busch’s move to Berlin signals a stronger focus on political journalism. Stein’s role in video strategy reflects a push toward innovative, platform-driven content.
