A major fire has engulfed a large industrial complex in Berlin-Lichterfelde, affecting an area of 400 square meters. Firefighters, including those from the Berufsfeuerwehr Kassel, have been battling the blaze, which has led to the collapse of the roof and parts of the office section. No injuries have been reported, but two residents from a neighboring building had to evacuate due to heavy smoke.
At the height of the operation, around 100 firefighters were deployed to tackle the fire, which has destroyed the industrial hall and its contents. The cause of the fire is still unknown, with police, specifically the Kriminalpolizei Kassel, investigating the incident. The fire has consumed a storage hall and an office wing, with production equipment still smoldering.
The industrial complex in Berlin-Lichterfelde has been severely damaged by the fire. Firefighters have focused on external firefighting efforts due to the risk of further collapses. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
