Major Operation Disrupts Broker Syndicate at Cumilla Medical College Hospital
A major operation was conducted at Cumilla Medical College Hospital on Monday, aiming to disrupt a long-standing syndicate of brokers deceiving patients and disrupting medical services. The operation, led by executive magistrate Nowroz Qoraishi Dripta with assistance from RAB-11, resulted in the detention of 14 individuals, with 10 sentenced to 20 days' imprisonment.
The operation took place between 12:00pm and 2:00pm, targeting various areas of Cumilla Sadar upazila and nearby regions. The convicted individuals hailed from Tetowara, Charpatti, Chapapur, Chiora, Rajapara, and Uttar Aziz Fazilpur areas. The magistrate announced that regular drives will continue to prevent brokers from operating in the hospital premises and improve healthcare quality. He also revealed that a broker syndicate had been active at the hospital for a considerable time.
The operation led to the detention of 14 individuals, with 10 found guilty and sentenced by the mobile court. The executive magistrate, Nowroz Qoraishi Dripta, stated that regular drives will continue to maintain discipline and ensure fair healthcare services at the hospital.
