Malaysia’s Cabinet Faces Three Ministerial Vacancies by December

Malaysia's Cabinet is currently facing two vacant portfolios, Economy Ministry and Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry. Meanwhile, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has confirmed that ministerial vacancies were not discussed in the recent weekly Cabinet meeting.

Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, who is serving his second and final term as a Dewan Negara member, will leave his post as Investment, Trade and Industry Minister in December. This departure will create a third vacancy in the Cabinet.

Despite the vacancies, no candidates have been publicly announced for the Economy Ministry or the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry. The consultation date for these reappointments remains unclear as well.

With two ministries currently vacant and a third one expected to be empty by December, the Malaysian government has yet to reveal any candidates for these crucial positions. The public awaits further updates on the appointments.
