Malaysia’s Supreme Court grants Muhyiddin Yassin temporary passport release for UK trip
The Supreme Court has approved Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s request to temporarily release his passport. This allows him to travel to the United Kingdom for medical treatment and family visits. The decision came despite his booking flights before receiving official permission.
Muhyiddin’s passport will be returned to him on December 8, 2025. He must surrender it again by January 5, 2026, as part of the court’s conditions. The trip includes a short stopover in Dubai, lasting one to two days.
The temporary release of Muhyiddin’s passport allows him to address health concerns and visit family. His travel window is limited to less than a month, with a clear return deadline. The court’s conditions ensure compliance while accommodating his personal and medical needs.
