Man, 34, Arrested After Berlin-Wedding Kiosk Robbery
A 34-year-old man has been arrested for robbing a kiosk in Berlin-Wedding. The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Groninger Straße, with the suspect making off with a mid-three-figure sum of cash from the Old Navy kiosk.
The robbery began with an argument between the suspect and the 66-year-old employee. The man then threatened the employee and demanded cash. After taking the money, he fled the scene on foot. Response units from the 16th Emergency Squad swiftly apprehended the suspect.
The arrested man, identified as a 34-year-old, has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) under Directorate 1 (North). He is expected to appear before an investigating magistrate to decide if an arrest warrant will be issued.
The suspect is currently in custody, with no further details available about the next hearing date in case number 0499.
