Man, 52, Arrested Twice in One Night in Berlin's Lichtenberg District
A 52-year-old man was arrested twice in one night in Berlin's Lichtenberg district. The first incident involved him vandalising cars on Nöldnerstraße, while the second saw him attempt to force his way into a police station on Wedekindstraße. The case is being handled by Precinct 34's case squad.
The night's events began when a witness spotted the man damaging parked cars on Nöldnerstraße. When confronted, he threw a brick but missed the witness. Police were alerted and arrested the man. Despite being taken into custody, he continued to struggle, even during a blood sample procedure, injuring a detention center staff member's hand. After processing, the suspect was initially released but later attempted to kick in the door of the police station in Precinct 51 on Wedekindstraße. Police from Precinct 34 apprehended him again, this time finding him visibly intoxicated and verbally aggressive, physically resisting when they tried to verify his identity.
The 52-year-old man's actions have resulted in two arrests in one night. The investigation is ongoing, led by the case squad at Precinct 34. The man's identity and the extent of the damages caused are still being verified.
