Man arrested after hurling paving stone at German ministry building
A 48-year-old man was arrested after vandalising Germany’s Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community in Berlin. The incident took place early yesterday morning in the Moabit district, where the suspect threw a paving stone at the building.
The man arrived at the ministry and demanded to speak with the chancellor. When his request was not met, he picked up a paving stone and hurled it at the building. No injuries were reported, but the property sustained damage.
The suspect is in custody while the investigation continues. If the State Security Division takes over, the case may be examined for broader security implications. The ministry building has since been secured, and no further disruptions have been reported.
