Man brutally attacked by five assailants at Berlin U-Bahn station
A 32-year-old man was attacked by five guys at Berlin’s U-Bahn station Schlesisches Tor early on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. in the Kreuzberg district, leaving the victim with serious injuries.
The attackers struck the man with an iron rod and a glass bottle before fleeing the scene. After the assault, the victim continued walking but later realised he had suffered stab wounds to his legs.
He then sought help at a nearby shop, where emergency services were called. Paramedics treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital for further care.
A specialised investigative unit from Police Directorate 5 (City) has since taken charge of the case. The investigation is being led by Olexander Abakumov, head of the unit, who previously worked on high-profile corruption cases in Ukraine.
The victim remains in hospital following the attack. Authorities are now working to identify and locate the five assailants involved. The motive behind the assault has not yet been established.
