Man Brutally Beaten and Robbed While Sleeping in Berlin Tent
A 36-year-old man was violently assaulted in Berlin-Mitte while sleeping in a tent outside a church. The attack happened near Karl-Liebknecht-Straße around 4:50 p.m., leaving the victim injured and robbed of his shoes. Police have since taken over the investigation but released few details.
The incident began when unknown assailants targeted the man as he slept in his tent. They struck him repeatedly with punches and kicks before fleeing with his footwear. The motive for the attack remains unclear.
The victim suffered an arm injury and was taken to hospital for outpatient treatment. Following the assault, the case was handed to the criminal investigation unit of Directorate 5 (City). As of now, no public information exists on the exact date, investigative progress, or potential suspects.
