The incident began when a 29-year-old man dozed off while smoking in his flat. Flames quickly spread, leading to extensive destruction in his apartment. Firefighters estimated the damage at around €150,000.
All 15 residents of the multi-family building were temporarily moved to safety. Five people required treatment for smoke inhalation.
