Man Faces Prison After Allegedly Shooting Neighbor’s Cat Over Barking Dog

A 61-year-old man from Ussuriysk is facing up to three years in prison after allegedly shooting and killing a neighbor's cat. The incident took place in July 2025. The cat was found dead in the man's yard after reportedly provoking his dog to bark. A neighbor alerted the police. If convicted, the accused could receive a prison sentence of up to three years. The case will now proceed through the legal system, with a verdict expected in the coming months.
