Man Found Dead After Brutal Attack in Kampung Kok Bedullah, Suspect Detained
A tragic incident has occurred in Kampung Kok Bedullah, Tumpat, Malaysia. Mohd Shuhairi Hashim, a 46-year-old man, was found dead after a brutal attack, leaving his family and community in shock. The primary suspect, his cousin, has been detained by police.
Mohd Shuhairi Hashim was discovered by his mother, Wan Salma Wan Said, near their house, covered in blood. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations suggest that Shuhairi was washing an excavator alone before the attack. The suspect, who had been residing in Taman Permata flats in Kajang prior to the crime, is believed to be the victim's cousin.
The suspect tested positive for drugs, and a one-week remand order has been granted under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code to allow police to conduct a thorough investigation. The suspect is expected to be charged with murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
