Man Injured in Berlin Reinickendorf Disturbance, Suspect in Custody

A 35-year-old man was injured after a 51-year-old suspect caused a disturbance in Reinickendorf, Berlin. The Special Commission of the Police Directorate 1 (North) is investigating the incident.

Around noon, the suspect, armed with an iron rod, caused chaos in Reinickendorf. He struck a parked car, shattering its passenger window, and toppled a construction fence on Romanshorner Weg, damaging another vehicle. A 35-year-old man inside one of the cars was attacked and sustained an arm injury. Emergency services treated him at the scene.

The attacker, a 51-year-old man, fled but was swiftly apprehended by police. Due to his erratic behavior, he was taken to a hospital for further treatment. The victim's identity and the exact nature of his injuries remain unknown. The suspect's identity has not been officially confirmed.

The investigation into the Reinickendorf incident continues. The 51-year-old suspect remains in custody, and the 35-year-old victim's condition is being monitored. Police urge anyone with information to come forward.
