Man posed as patient to exploit women doctors in months-long scheme
A 25-year-old man of Indian origin, Vaibhav, who also went by the false name 'Akashdeep Singh', was taken into custody on December 4, 2022, following a sexual assault investigation. Peel Regional Police allege he fabricated medical issues to gain access to women physicians, intending to initiate inappropriate physical contact. Police have confirmed the arrest but are still seeking further information from the public. The case involves multiple clinics and spans several months, with authorities emphasising the importance of reporting any related incidents. Vaibhav’s charges include identity fraud and indecent exposure, and he remains detained while the investigation proceeds.
